Sponsor an “Amani Child”
International Peace Initiatives (IPI) is very excited to have been able to move the first set of children into The Amani Home last fall. While this model of home is designed to be self-sustaining through a “Network of Enterprise”, it will be some time before that is fully in place. The different income producing projects are currently being organized and established, during this period donations are needed to operate the home.
You can help by sponsoring an Amani child. Sponsors receive regular correspondence from the child and are able to develop a personal relationship. This has proven to be a very rich experience for both the child and the sponsor. Some sponsors travel to The Amani Home to visit the child and connect even more deeply. Other sponsors invite their children to each adopt an Amani child and encourage letter writing and photo exchanges between the intercultural “siblings”. Sponsoring an Amani Child can be done at different levels. The donations cover everything from food, lodging and education to clothing, medical care and the miscellaneous expenses associated with raising a child in a loving, nurturing way. Sponsors can be individuals, organizations or community groups and are based on supporting the child for one full year.
- Full sponsorship for a primary aged child is $2500
- Full sponsorship for a secondary aged child is $3000
- Partial sponsorship for a child at a donation level of your choosing.
Please “visit” with the children below, they are amazing resilient souls who have overcome much adversity and deserve to be cared for and loved.
On the Donation page, select “Sponsor an Amani Child”. An Amani child will contact you to introduce her/himself. If you are sponsoring as a group, please send an email to IPI’s Administrator email at the time you donate with the names of each participant.
Thank you for making the difference in the life of a child and towards intercultural peace and understanding.
